Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed concerning the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area here daily. The services position established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
